Caliper Wellness Opens a new location on April 10th
Mental and Physical Healthcare Clinic Coming to Hudson, Florida
Caliper Wellness is pleased to announce the opening of its new health clinic at 8223 State Rd 52, Hudson, FL 34667. Caliper Wellness focuses on meeting the community’s needs through an integrated mental and physical health approach.
Caliper’s Hudson, Florida, location will provide mental health services, especially those related to treating opioid addiction, in an underserved community. They will also treat general mental health disorders as well as ADHD weight management and testosterone replacement therapy. Caliper also offers primary care services at the Hudson office and through telemedicine.
Andrew Hewitt, PMHNP, a Board Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, owns the clinic with his wife, Jennifer Hewitt, who is a registered nurse. After working in construction, Hewitt felt called to help people, becoming an EMT and then a paramedic. He witnessed first-hand what people experience when dealing with a healthcare emergency. He then went on to become a registered nurse and soon earned a master’s degree as a psychiatric nurse practitioner. While working in the hospital ICU and emergency departments, he experienced the gap in healthcare providers that assess and treat a patient’s physical and mental well-being. In 2022 he founded Caliper Wellness to treat psychological and physical health together while making it accessible and affordable. Opening the office in Hudson complements Caliper’s telehealth practice, allowing patients to be seen in person or through virtual visits.
Caliper Wellness accepts insurance for select services. In addition to the Florida location, Caliper offers telemedicine for mental health care in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, and Connecticut and primary family care in Florida and Maryland. These services include weight management, ADHD testing and treatment, and testosterone replacement therapy.
